I’m Serena Malahoo, the owner and travel advisor behind Mazhoo Travels.

Travel has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. I’m originally from the Caribbean, so some of my earliest memories of travel, culture, beautiful beaches, good food, and island life started pretty close to home.

But the way I travel has changed a lot over the years.

I’ve traveled as a couple, explored on my own, and now I’m also a mom traveling with a toddler — including trips where it was just the two of us. Let’s just say traveling with a little one has given me an entirely new appreciation for snacks, good flight times, and being prepared for just about anything.

Those experiences are part of what eventually led me to create Mazhoo Travels.

I genuinely love discovering new places, comparing different travel experiences, and finding those little details that make one destination feel completely different from another. Sometimes that’s a beautiful Caribbean resort. Sometimes it’s a cruise, a family adventure, a romantic getaway, or somewhere completely unexpected.

And while the Caribbean will always have a special place in my heart, my curiosity definitely doesn’t stop there.

When I’m not thinking about someone’s next vacation, I’m usually enjoying life with my family, dreaming about where I want to travel next, or saving another destination to the ever-growing “we need to go here” list.

Mazhoo Travels is ultimately an extension of something I already love — experiencing the world, discovering new places, and helping other people get excited about doing the same.
